The afternoon dives are a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. Although this is not a scuba certification course, you’ll get the chance to do 2 dives under the direct supervision of one of our instructors.
Description
Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is for you.
Before your dive, you will watch PADI’s Discover Scuba Introduction video. You will then meet with your instructor and receive a detailed briefing about the basics of scuba diving and the equipment. At Low Key Watersports you get to try diving off of one of our custom dive boats on not one, but two dives. On the first dive you will work in a small group with one of our instructors to learn some basic scuba skills and then go for a dive on one of our beautiful reefs. Then we move the boat to a different location and you get the chance to make a second dive at another of our favorite spots.
While not a scuba certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. To sign up for a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience, you must be at least 10 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to know how to swim and be in reasonable physical health. A medical questionnaire must be completed before diving. You learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a Low Key Watersports PADI Professional. Get ready to:
- Go over the scuba equipment you use to dive and how easy it is to move around underwater with your gear
- Find out what it’s like to breathe underwater
- Learn key skills that you’ll use during every scuba dive
- Have fun swimming around and exploring
- Hear about becoming a certified diver through the PADI Open Water Diver course

We will provide all the basic scuba gear you’ll use including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device, dive gauges, and a tank.

“Discover Scuba Students” will need to complete the eLearning component of this experience. This email can be forwarded to other participants that you have paid for so that they can complete their coursework.
Step 1: Register for the eLearning and Complete the Medical and Registration Process
Please fill this out immediately after booking so that students can be verified by our instructors as medically qualified to participate. During the registration process, they will be asked for all of the relative information that our instructors need prior to their dive day.
Step 2: Complete the eLearning
Step 3: Complete the Boat Waiver
- The entire process takes about 20 minutes.
- It is very important that you do this as far in advance as possible.
- DO NOT WAIT until the last minute.
- This email can be forwarded so that other participants that you have paid for can also complete the necessary steps.
