Rated the No. 1 wreck dive in the Caribbean by Sport Diver and Scuba Diving Magazines!

Join us for a dive on this historical site located in the British Virgin Islands National Park. This 310 ft. brigantine rigged schooner sank in the great hurricane of 1867 off Salt Island and is considered one of the best wreck dives in the Caribbean.

The trip consists of two dives. The first dive on the bow is in 80 feet of water and includes a tour of the bow wreckage, crow's nest, intact condenser and signal cannon. After the first dive, we will go around to the north side of Salt Island for lunch. You can snorkel, go ashore, or just laze around the boat as the crew prepares a picnic lunch for you on board the boat. After the appropriate surface interval, we return to dive the stern of the wreck where the debris is spread out in 25-70 feet of water. Check out the intact boiler, remaining galley tiles, and glass porthole, and swim through the propeller, the largest bronze propeller in the world.

The trip includes two dives on the wreck and lunch. The Wreck of the Rhone is suitable for experienced divers but no special certifications are required.

NOTE: If you have not been diving in over 2 years, we require that you take our refresher course during the week of the Wreck of the Rhone trip.

Also, if you have been out of the water for 1 year, we strongly suggest that you dive one of our 2 tank AM trips ahead of the scheduled wreck dive.
